Just asking a nuts and bolts question here. Governor Pallin's 17 year old daughter, Bristol, is pregnant (and not married and not working) with her first child. Now, according to the press release from Pallin's office, Bristol will have the child, keep the child and marry the father (who was not named).
One of the first questions that came to my mind about this news (right after the question, Who is the father?), was Is Bristol insured for health coverage? Presumably she is covered by her parents health coverage. Second question, Is the baby covered by covered by someone's health insurance? And the third question, naturally, Does the unnamed father of the baby have health insurance which would cover the child?
Just curious...

If the Governor could not prevent her own daughter from ruining her life, how is she going to convince me that she can make a good Vice President?
According to the laws of Alaska:
"Alaska statutory rape laws declare that anyone who is 18 years old or older who has sex with a person who is 16 or 17, or who is at least three years younger than the offender, can be charged with sexual abuse in the third degree. This is also a felony."
If the father is at least 18 years of age, how come he wasn't reported for sex abuse and how come Sarah Pallin wasn't charged for contributing to the delinquency of a minor for failing to report him? Until the identity and age of the father are revealed to prove me wrong, I'm going to suspect that it may be worst than just some 18 year old boy friend. Why is there secrecy about the father's identity?
First of all, to place blame on Pallin for her daughters pregnancy is ridiculous! Her daughter, regardless of her age, chose to have sex. There is no evidence that she was raped causing this pregnancy. Married or not married, are there people out there, parents or not, that are preventing you from having sex? At least the daughter is taking responsibility and keeping the child.
